Élise Guay

Elise Guay plays recorder and double reeds instrument from Middle Ages and Renaissance. Having discovered the traditionnal music of France and Quebec, she added bagpipes, whistle, taborpipe and Breton bombard to her arsenal. From 1998 to 2002, she played in over 1400 performances of the prestigious Cirque du Soleil production “O” in Las Vegas. As a fellow of Canadian Councl for the Arts, she researched the modal character of songs to interprete drone instruments.
