Polky Village Band

Created by courageous Polish ladies and fronted by singer Ewelina Ferenc, Polky Village Band is not your typical “polka band” but an authentic and energetic Polish-Canadian folk music group. By adding a uniquely Canadian, multicultural flavour, the band brings their own original sound to traditional forms. Their newest EP “Immigration” is inspired by Polish traditional music from Mazovia region, Polish mountains, immigration to Canada, and Led Zeppelin

Polky Village Band takes you on a musical journey to Poland, the melting pot of Eastern and Central European music with Carpathian, Jewish, Gypsy, Ukrainian, Slovak and Hungarian influences. They have performed at the Danforth Music Hall, opening for Lemon Bucket Orkestra and Boogát, the Aga Khan Museum, Polish Festival in Toronto, Capital Ukrainian Festival in Ottawa, the Summerfolk Festival, the Ashkenaz Festival, Folk Alliance International and more!
